Atakumosa East Local Government Area

	GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURE
; In view of the existence of the Local Government as one of the 774recognised council areas in Nigeria. The Local Government operates he presidential system of government in line with the constitutional provision. Consequently, the Chairman, Vice chairman and the ten councilors who are representative of each of the ten wards to which the Local Government is divided are elected while the secretary and the supervisors are appointed by the chairman in line with the arrangement made by the party controlling affairs in the Local Government.
TOURISM AND CULTURE
Some of the Tourist centres located in the Local Government area which if developed can serve as a source of revenue generation include – Owari Shrine in Ipole, Arake and Igbo Olua in Igangan, Oke Agbirigidi in Iperindo e.t.c. Efforts are in the pipeline by the Local Government to tap economic potentials of these centres.
