  • Treatment of Clients
  • Supply and dispensed of drugs to the entire populace of the Local Government.
  • Delivery of Reproductive Health Services to Women and Children.
  • Health Education Services to prevent prevalent diseases.
    1. Reduction of maternal and child (under 5) mortality and morbidity rates i.e. through: - 1
    2. Immunization Early Child care
    3. Family Health / Planning
    4. Ante-Natal Care
    5. Under five welfare clinics.
    6. Nutrition and Health Care.
    7. Safety delivery.
    8. Health Education.
    9. Role back malaria.
    10. Campaign and prevention of HIV/Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases.
    11. Training and retraining of Health Workers.
  • Prevention and treatment of Tuberculosis and also leprosies Laboratory services.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of diseases i.e. diseases control.
  • Welfare of Primary Health Care Staff i.e. posting and adequate supervision of the Staff and met their needs in their various Health Centre.
  • AGRICULTURE
  • Cultivation of maize and cassava plantation at different locations of the Local Government e.g. Iwara
  • Oil Palm plantation for the Local Government about 15 acres was cultivated for palm oil production.
  • Hiring of Tractors for the Local Government farmers to boost Farm production at subsidized.
  • Rearing of piggery to enhance high protein intake for the populace.
  • Registration of farmers Associations to generate IGR for the Local Government and to facilitate taking of Agric loan.
  • Raising of 40,000 cocoa seedlings for the Local farmers free of charge.
  • Subsidizing the farm inputs e.g. fertilizer. The cost of purchase was N2,500 and the Local Government sells at N1,500 each.
  • Free distribution of Agricultural Chemicals and cutlasses to farmers.
  • Organizing seminars / workshops for the farmers on modern techniques of farming.
  • Sponsoring of farmers for seminars and workshops.
  • Organizing quarterly farmers Association meeting at the Local Government Secretariat at Iperindo.
  • Sponsorship of farmers for yearly Agricultural show at Osogbo.
  • Vaccination of Goat, Sheep and Dogs against mange, Rabbies and other related Diseases.

  • Mobilizing and sensitizing the community/grass root populace.
  • Coordinates the activities of the Local Government on the development of new techniques for implementating development project.
  • Preparing Press Releases on Local Government activities and programmes.
  • Accurate recording of Local Government projects, programmes and activities for record purpose.
  • Taking charge of the planning and production of technical Literature and publicity materials on community Development and other Local Government programmes and activities.
  • Organizing training Workshop and courses for community Development staff as well as the representatives of the various communities in the Local Government Areas.
  • Supervising the execution of a numbers of community Development projects.
  • Collating various reports of activities, processing and forwarding to appropriate quarters.
  • The development serves as the Liaising office at the police Community Relations Committee within the Local Government and State Levels.
  • Processing Data collected for implementations and evaluation.
  • Monitoring of sporting activities, youth matter, cultural development and giving advice as at when due.
  • Performing the role of the Public Relation Department.
  • Performing inter-governmental relationship activities.
  • Attending monthly Community Development council meeting with the Honorable commissioner for Local Government and Community Development.
  • Dissemination of Government directives on policies as it affects the community to the grassroot populace and feed the government back with necessary required information.
  • Conducting feasibility survey and evaluating community Development projects.
  • Supervising and coordinating Home Economics Extension Work.
  • Organizing in-service / economic training for the community people.
  • Liaising and mobilizing the community people on the citizenship and leadership training.
  • Coordinate the monthly meeting of community Development council in the Local Government.
  • Mobilizing the community on the formation of vigilante group.
  • Carrying out researchers into social and cultural factors affecting the execution of community Development projects.
  • Mobilizing and coordinating matters affecting population with the National Population Commission in the Local Government.
  • Sensitizing and coordinating income generating activities within the Local Government and formation of cooperative, agricultural practices and skill acquisition and other artisans.
  • Coordinating the activities of the N.Y.S.C. Scheme.
  • Assist the State in Youth Development Programme.
  • Coordinate the activities of Day Care matters.
  • Perform duties on General Educational matter.
  • Publicizing all Government activities and Programme.
  • Carrying out duties as it affects Relief Materials.
  • Coordinating activities affecting ‘Aged’ people in the Local Government.
  • Coordinating issues affecting children in the Local Government (UNICEF Programmes and NGO‘s) as well as Children Day Celebration.
  • Coordinating activities on important Days like; National Day Celebration, Armed Forces Remembrance Day e.t.c.
  • WATER AND ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION DEPARTMENT
    Water and Environmental Sanitation Department was created in the year 2006 primarily for provision of potable water, adequate sanitation and control of diseases. This is to promote public health and welfare, improve quality of life, reduce poverty and ensure a sustainable environment. Functions of Water and Environmental Sanitation Department include:
    1. Provision/Promotion of adequate sanitation
    2. Provision of safe water for the public
    3. Maintenance of public water and sanitation facilities
    4. Quality control of water
    5. Provision and development of alternative water supply.
    6. Community mobilization for provision and maintenance for Water and Environmental Sanitation facilities.
    7. Regular provision of hygiene education and promotion for the public.
    8. Construction of WES facilities e.g. bore – holes, sanplat latrine e.t.c.
    9. Provision of Environmental health services such as Fumigation, House – to – House Inspection, Chlorination of wells, market sanitation, inspection of regulated premises, burial of pauper, and general sanitation.
    10. Training, Research and development on Environmental Health issues including Water and Sanitation.
    11. Inspection of premises
    12. School health services
    13. Control of pests/Vectors diseases especially in public places.
    14. Management of Solid and liquid waste
    15. Food control
