AtakumosaEast Local Government Area

The area known today as Atakunmosa East Local Government is a product of the 1996 Mbanefo led committee on creation  of local government. It was carved out of the former Atakunmosa Local Government on December 4, 1996.
With headquarters at Iperindo, the local government area has a total land mass of approximately 755,52 square kilometers and shares boundaries with Ile Oluji in Ondo State, Ife South, Oriade, Obokun and Atakunmosa West Local Government.
